1. Consultation & Retainer Fees
Retainer fees and intake consultation charges are utilized immediately to assign investigators, initiate database checks, and allocate specialized computing nodes. As such, initial retainer deposits are non-refundable once operational research has commenced.
2. Milestone-Based Service Refunds
For multi-phase engagements (such as long-term background checks, complex forensics recovery, or corporate due diligence), billing is structured around milestones. If a client chooses to cancel a project, refunds are calculated based on the unstarted phases of the case file. Any phase that is already in progress or completed is non-refundable.
3. Refusal & Unlawful Cancellation
S.T.R.I.K.E. reserves the right to terminate any active case immediately without refund if the client has misrepresented facts, provided fraudulent evidence, or if the investigation reveals that the client's objective is unlawful (e.g. attempting to track an individual without authorization, hacking, harassment, or violating local PECA regulations).
4. Refund Claims Process
To request a refund on unearned service fees, clients must submit a written claim to their designated lead investigator or email our compliance office. All requests will be evaluated and responded to within seven (7) business days.
